How You Can Help
Many people talk a lot about why there are not more artificial reef sites in the Gulf Coast area. They are always talking about how, “Someone should do something!”. It is our contention at FAMI that each and everyone of us is that “SOMEONE”. There are many ways that you can help.
1. Money is the key to all projects. FAMI is a non-profit organization with a purpose of working for more and better reefs in the Gulf of Mexico. Donations are tax-deductible and go toward the many necessary things that have to be done, from mailing letters to Congressmen to researching and deploying reefs.
2. Equipment that can be used, traded or sold to further the cause of reefs may also be tax deductible. Anything from dive gear to cars, truck, boats and airplanes can be used to create additional resources for the reef initiative.
3. Be a friend of the cause. Encourage businesses that you deal with or supply to support events and people that work for more reefs. Remind them that in the Panhandle the reef system is valued at more than $400 million dollars and creates millions each year in economic support.

Responsible Environmentally Educated Fishermen & SCUBA divers
This membership group will allow people to join and get regular correspondence to keep them abreast of current events that relate to reefs and reef building. Levels will be available for individuals and businesses. Contributions will vary from $25 to thousands for those that would like to put a name on reef.
Please stay interested and active. There is no such thing as a free lunch. We need to raise money, to raise awareness.
